The recovery period after a facelift is generally short, and we’ll do everything we can to make it as smooth and comfortable as possible. Right after the procedure, your face may be gently wrapped with bandages to minimize swelling and bruising. In some cases, small drainage tubes may be placed to remove any excess fluids or blood.
You might experience discomfort, tightness, or mild pain in the first few days — this is completely normal and can be managed with the medication prescribed by your surgeon. If sutures, bandages, or a compression garment are used, they will either dissolve on their own, be removed by your surgeon, or you’ll be guided on when and how to remove them — depending on your specific case.
