Why this procedure?

By getting this procedure done, you’ll eliminate any defect that has been caused by aging, and you’ll feel like you’ve changed skin and become a younger version of yourself. By focusing our energy and experience on the upper area of your face, we’ll figure out the way to go to create a more youthful appearance: we’ll eliminate any excess skin you may have, smooth wrinkles and move your eyebrows to their rightful place. Just wait and see what this does to your self confidence.

What happens during the forehead lift?

There are several different techniques to this procedure, such as the direct brow lift, the coronal forehead lift, the pretrichial lift and the endoscopic forehead lift. Some focus a bit more on the eyebrows, others on the forehead and others on the entire upper area of your face. In each of these approaches, the skin is lifted to smooth wrinkles, reposition the eyebrows and remove excess skin and/or muscle tissue.

The best part is that none of these techniques leave visible scars, so you’ll look younger and people just won’t be able to tell what exactly you’ve done to achieve it.

This recovery process is short and we’ll do everything we can to make it as comfortable as possible for you. First, your forehead will be taped and your head will be wrapped with a bandage to minimize swelling and bruising. It is also possible that your surgeon will have to place thin tubes to drain any excess blood or fluid.

You must be aware that discomfort, pain or nausea may appear during the first days after the surgery, but the medication prescribed by your surgeon will help you control it. Also, if any suture, bandage or compression garment were applied, a) they’ll dissolve naturally, b) they’ll have to be removed by your cosmetic surgeon or c) you may remove them yourself when he says it’s time; it depends on the case.

Don’t forget to follow your surgeon’s instructions and to attend every one of your appointments. We need to work as a team to achieve the ultimate results.

It is important to note that recovery specifications may vary depending on the procedure and the patient; our medical staff will walk you through the details of your recovery process.

When can I go back to work and resume my normal activities?

You’ll be able to return to your normal activities 1 to 2 weeks after the surgery.

Can I get a tan?

It is very important to avoid long sun exposure for a considerable amount of time after the surgery to prevent pigmentation on the scars. Depending on the procedure, you’ll doctor will tell you exactly for how long you must avoid this.

Should I consider a specific time of the year to do my procedure?

Depending on the chosen procedure, some recoveries do better on winter, while others do better on the summer time. Ask your doctor for the option that better suits your case. You should also consider periods of time in which you’ll have time to relax, like the holidays, for example.
